Having Problems Can Anyone Help?

Just downloaded a load of music and have found a pretty constant trend... Most of the songs I've downloaded sound great for the first 15-20 seconds and then this horrible screetching sound starts and the rest of the track is not there. Is it some kind of bug or have I just downloaded a crappy file? How can I get round it? :unsure: It's pissing me off!!!
