Hi,
13 years ago, when I was a baby, I joined this site... I have been away for a while. What did I miss?!
If you made it to the end of 2020 congratulations!
Happy holidays & be safe.
I've been here since the 40s.
MY 40s.
Lot of water under the bridge, the bridge has been replaced a few times.
This forum in general is legendary - still around after almost 20 years, and in all likelihood the oldest site most of us visit on a regular basis :)

Thinking i haven't been here since the beginning, but not only the site is still here it has evolved with the technology times...
But the forum section, that still needs some work:unsure:, and i assume that was the strongest part of this place..........
Bulletin boards are dying.
This was, once upon a time, one of the most lively on the web.
The Drawing Room - as a political forum - was one of the very first of it's kind.
Good times were had...certainly not by all, but.
Traffic is thin all over.
Everyone's on Facebook, Reddit and Telegram groups now :ghey:

:glagpinch: Good point. Well made.
But they lack the charm of this place said no one ever.
Then allow me to be the first :fst:
This place has a charm all it's own.
I just don't post as often as I used to.

I joined 18 years ago but I doubt anyone remembers me. I miss this place though.
Hello fst. Long time...
I am working full time in film and theater making props and scenografi.
My son is now 16, great grades, yesterday he was completely and totally stoned out of his mind.
Had a long long talk and listened a lot. Hope he finds balance.
I spent Alot of time here when I was transitioning between my former pure art world and the commercial world.
Thank you for those times. I have found the place I want to be with great people and energy.
Hope you are all ok. Will lurk a little. Thank you for the good times

Great to see you 100%. Your son sounds lovely. Good work on that. Glad you're well and sorry to hear about your transition. The former sounded like a more beautiful world. A shame you had to leave it.

That's quite possibly the perfect encomium for this place.
Sad to see things wind down, but hey.

Wow. Now I feel really old. I can remember when Bulletin boards killed Usenet. And when Usenet killed Bulletin boards (the dial up kind). Back to Usenet then?
Back to Usenet then?
As soon as I get my shell account from my ISP
Never occurred to me to ask if death is strictly required in order to be "back from" it?

Most of these there and gone again posts seem more like cadaveric spasms than full-blown resurrections. Then again I'm an agnostic, so what would I know?

That's about how much sleep get at work.
One of the perks of living alone and doing freelance work is that I can sleep as much as I want, whenever I want... and do.

Perhaps same perk running this site. Wait would need income from it also or something. So much for that but luckily have some of that you know...

I don't sleep anymore. I'm afraid that if I do, one day I will wake up and find they've merged the game and funny shit sections or something. No, got to stay vigilant.

I really hope I've been sleeping for the last two years, and all of this is just a bad dream. Otherwise, I really wish I could sleep for 30*2*100 days...
