Whenever i load kazzalite, it runs fine, until i click on the search bar, then it comes up with an error that states:

Runtime Error!
Program D:\Program Files\Kazaa Lite K++\KazaaLite.kpp
Abnormal program termination

and after that it crashes. :angry:

If anyone can help it would be appreciated!

u might have a corrupt file...... move all your files in "my shared folder" to a temp folder, and restart kl

uninstall k++ move all files to a temp folder then delete everything to do with kazaa in sub directories the same thing happened to me and this worked for me if this doesnt work delete your installer file and download a new one it could have been corrupted during the download process.

do not uninstall, just mover all your files from your shared folder to a temp and tell us if you still have this problem

i'm having the exact same problem!!

is it something with the microsoft visual c++ library? cause thats what it says at the top of the error message. i've tried uninstalling everything and re-installing it, but same problem every time.

if there is a vb6 patch, where can i find it?

thanks!

How to indicate another thread where this problem is handled?
Anyways:
This problem is reported in another thread as a "K++ runtime error"...

All the suggestions in this thread has been suggested and tried in the other thread!!!
...and nothing worked!!!

And Muscleman:
Not two different problems :(

The titlebar on the error screen coming up says:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"

The text of the error screen says:
"Runtime error!
Program bla bla bla..."

But...

I have this problem for ages now...not being able to do anything about the searching error...

But yesterday evening I did try to, when starting up Kazaa, to press:
CRTL+SHIFT+"Search"-button in the main startup window...

And now it worked...I got the search window...and can search for files... and can find files from other users via their downloads...and and and...

But when I reopen K++ after a shut-down of the program the search functionality doesnt work...
[Unless the CRTL+SHIFT+...]

When starting up K++ and then looking at KL-extensions it reports, that traffic window found....but not the search window...
After pressing bla bla bla it then reports that search window is found...
[this applies to extensions 0.56 AND 0.57]

So...now I've found a work around for the search thing...

But still have the annoying problem if I forget to press... :D

And I still have the problem, too, when I press some of the links on the start-up page...
