A college friend of mine who originally came here from Portugal received a mail of these from her family. When I read it with her, some of them made me laugh :lol:
Have you ever had a foreign guy/girl speak phrases in their language to you and thought they sounded beautiful? All of these Portugese phrases are considered as much - Here's their English translations.
Some will find them funny, some won't :)
Chá comigo que eu livro sua cara.
- Tea with me that I book your face.
Escreveu, não leu, o pau comeu.
- Wrote, didn't read, the stick ate.
Ela é cheia de nove horas.
- She is full of nine o'clock.
Preciso tirar água do joelho.
- I need to take water out of my knee.
Hot saw hot see.
- Quente viu quente vê.
Eu sou mais eu.
- I am more I.
Não vem que não tem...
- Do not come that it does not have...
Soltar a franga.
- To release the hen.
Entre, meu bem.
- Between, my well.
Tô careca de saber.
- I am completely bald of knowing it.
To kill the snake and show the stick.
- Matar a cobra e mostrar o pau.
Você pode quebrar meu galho?
- Can you please break my branch?
O pau tá comendo.
- The wood is eating.
Queimei meu filme!
- Uh! I burned my movie! Oh!
Estou contigo e não abro.
- I'm with you and I don't open.
Vou lavar a égua
- I will wash the mare.
You travelled on the mayonaise.
- Você viajou na maionese.
I have to peel this pineapple.
- Tenho que descascar esse abacaxi.

- Who advises friend is.
