I have ePSXe and it just loads to black screen and nothing happens...

Have you got all the latest plugins? (Even though i do, and get the same type of problem when trying games)

did you check the website to see if its compatible? the emulator doesnt play every single psx games out on the market so it ight not be compatible

u may need a patch to play this, just browse for ff9 patches.
make sure to get the right ones tho.
now by using one of the plugins from ePSXe u will be able to run the game from your cd rom and use the patchs straight from your hard drive(thats when u get them)
u can add the patches to a back up copy of ff9 by burning them together but i couldnt get this to work for some reason.
if i can remember i hand the 'PAL' version of the game, there for i used these patches-
HLG-FF91.PPF, HLG-FF92.PPF, HLG-FF93.PPF, HLG-FF94.PPF
