well i downloaded an exe and it was a fake and it wasen't a virus but it keep saying its in use so i cant delete it and i looked in the task manager and its not there is there a program that like makes it not in use? :(

try ending all programs except for the bare essentials

Theres something screwy that causes this, ive had it alot of times... There were some tips like open a program with the same extension (doesnt apply proly) or restart if u can.. Ill see if i can find i t, think it was in the forums

did you try deleting it in command prompt?

alright, this might actually work. it deletes the file when you boot up next:

Restart MS Dos mode find and delete the irritating file.

damn no 1 knows it....... i mean there's a program that free's up the file so all you have to do is just click delete.... :(

Windows probably won&#39;t release it out of memory. (rebooting typically solves this problem)

But, booting into safe mode will usually allow you to delete such a file.

Otherwise a registry hack is required. This same hack is preformed by programs I believe are similar to those listed above.

Googling this problem will get you more answers though.

p.s. you&#39;ve got to mention which O/S you&#39;re using when asking questions such as yours.

try deleting it by sharing it through kazaa, then deleting it using kazaa
