Recording From Tv To Pc

How or what do i need to record tv shows to my pc.

you can buy em from major retailers such as Best Buy, CompUSA, Walmart :rolleyes:

So i need to buy a different video card i have one with s video out and av out, i watch movies on my tv from my computer.

its not a video card...unless you have like a ATI All In Wonder, then yes you need to buy a capture card AKA tv tuner

Would this card do the trick i just ned something simple mainly to record viva la bam and a few pay per views. Cheap card (http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=320670/search=3dfx/ut=0c178a846589ee54)

or u can get urself an ati aiw something (all in wonder) they have capture as well as the card itself (ex: aiw radeon 9800 pro is a aiw on a radeon 9800 pro gpu. not bad, but hella lota $)

that card is not a capture card, it simply has a TV out port .

you need a TV Capture card, i recommend Hauppauge (http://www.hauppauge.com) cards.
