It is pointless they can try to shutdown one site but another and another will just pop up.

However, with every passing year, it gets harder to procure hosting, domain registration and payment processing in a way that keeps everyone secure (and isn't difficult to understand in the case of donations).

Hint: Cloudflare isn't going to put its life on the line to defend pirate sites and "freedom of speech"; quite the opposite, actually. If you use it at all, make it the first reverse proxy of several.
