hi

im not too sure, but i turn off the power saving "turn off HDD" thing, cos i guess that could cause probs, also, make sure you're using one of the speed up tools, to make sure that, as other people disconnect, you reconnect to others

You turn it off by rightclicking on your desktop and chosing(sp?) the option futhest from where you clicked, it's called properties or something like that. There you go to the page for the screen saver. On that page you have a thing called properties or something like it and under that you can turn it off. It might be slightly different in whatever operating system you use.

I assume you have some teaching qualification, most likely in IT.

As an alternative to the above you could try

Control Panel

Power Options

If you can't work it out from there, get up very slowly, walk away from the computer and never touch it again.

How many of your 237,987 (just anticipating what it will be in the 5 minutes it takes you to answer this) posts have involved just a wee smiley face.

A Horse walks into a bar. The barman asks, why the long face.
