Who is with me on this, and has anyone got any suggestions for the best timing?

One suggestion is Christmas day and Boxing day... :)

Good idea!! :D
But not Christmas or Boxing Day, as I am round relative's houses on those days. No filesharing those days for me

Everyone activates supernode function for 48 hours

I think the plan rules, a fuck-you to the system

TheDave

and what does this achieve?

Only problem is that those who are behind routers cannot be supernodes.

i dont know quite what this does but i think we should launch a nonstop offensive for a couple of weeks after christmas so everyone with a new pc knows the score :)

Well first I would like to quote lynx, who unlike myself is very good at explaining...

I haven't used K++ for a while until yesterday. Tried a search, and got nothing for quite a few minutes. Then it went offline and came back again (obviously switching supernodes) and all of a sudden got some responses, although not as many as I was expecting. About 100 results after 5 mins in total.

I can only assume I was originally connected to a 2.6 supernode, then switched to an older one.

I also wonder how this is likely to affect users of other clients.

I then tried the kazaa.exe from kmd2.6, with RN's klr.exe.

I repeated the search from before and immediately started getting lots of results. I ended up with about 600 results in about 2 minutes. So something has definitely changed, and only very recently.

So you see it's a connectivity problem, Sharman from Kazaa-Media <s>Despot</s> Desktop has put some sort of program into the new software that rejects Kazaa-lite users....Now if all of, or as many Kazaa-lite users as possible would become supernodes, then the whole fasttrack system would benefit. You see if there are no supernodes, the system will fail. They are like the in-between people.

I wonder how many users are actually using Kazaa-Lite...does anyone know?

Lets all start vicious rumors on different forums and user comments about KMD.

I hate them assholes

TheDave

we could tell people that it has spyware and adware.

wait. is it still a rumour if its true?

Just telling ppl the truth would put them off.

I agree! Maybe we should all put a copy of the truth in, "My Shared Folder," with an eye catching title; to be shared?

You could make a cam of yourself telling the truth and then give it a porn name then it's sure to get downloaded ;)

That's not a joke that's a serious suggestion...

TheDave

make a note of klboard.ath.cx on all your files, or would that un-multi-sourcerize tham all

Evil Gemini

Nah i dont think we should mention the forum.

I dont want to to get closed down by the evil ones.

TheDave

how much notage can you type.

we gotta put something like;

sharman is making money off you with adware.

they are making more money off spyware

if you still dont care this slows your games down and makes your porn take longer to download.

download k-lite and make the world a better place for the sake of us all

We could start a chain email/message/IM thing to spread the word about how much better Kazaa-lite is.

this would have a good effect but chainmails are kind of annoying

We should ask one of our members to compose this message (J'Pol, Biggles or lynx to name a few who are adequately eloquent!) Then chainmail it and let everyone copy it and put it in their, "my shared folder," This message would not only have to contain information on how good Kazaa-lite is, but also a short history of Sharmans recent escapades...and his possible future plans...
