Like random nut did say... the best is yet to come.....

Here it is.... Hacked version of KMD 2.6. Thanks to random nut's kl loader, you can do unlimited search more, you got participation level up to 1000 (Supreme being) and there are no other adware icons........

There are, however ads in KMD but ONLY in Search tab. But there are NO pop-up's......

I don't get this.
If it's using random nut's loader, there shouldn't be any ads since the loader kills every .dll dependency, allowing you to delete the .dll files containing the ads, right? :huh:

1) uninstall the package (keeping klr, kazaa.exe)
2) install kazaa lite (for reg keys)
3) run klr
4) and :o it works :)

I think DietK does not have a simple participation hack ... :(

But - DietK 2.6 does runs on Win98 ... :)

you can restore the part level with dietk (back to 100),

you could see if the klcheater (used in old kl versions) works, ive got it if you want it i will email it too you if you would like (its only 27k)

this kazaakpp26.zip uses the same kazaa.exe that comes with kmd, plus it installs spyware (cydoor, topsearch) it's simpler to just install klite 243 and download KLR (http://www.geocities.com/klrismypwd/klr.zip) (or dietkaza) and get kazaa.exe via p2p:

Cuz unless KLExtensions works, this Kazza and klr thing aint gonna be any good.
I&#39;ve already tried it, and sure, it has tabbed searches, a favorites menu like IE(which I actually thought was cool), and an address bar. But without KLextensions, it would be missing a hell of a lot of cool and needed features.
But I&#39;m sure someone will get this all set up great someday, but until then, I&#39;m stickin with K++.

I&#39;m almost finish making my own version of kazaa lite 2.6 with the help of some important friends. It&#39;s going to have almost every feature that kazaa lite k++ has. I will post it once were done with it.plus it will work on windows 95 and higher. Kazaa Lite will never die&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

Just curious (about concepts...) -

What was your direction on:
A. Compatibility to KLE/K++ registry keys ? Same ones or your own ?
B. Is there any way you found to re-use some of the old KLE code in/on your program ?
C. Can it run together with KL ? (so some KLE features - like file manager - can still be used...)

Yes it did. Just make it&#39;s text more clear... say something like - runs on Win 2000 and above. (or build a win98 version and you can SAVE the error dialog...)

"the program requires windows 5.0.2195 or later" :(

so you&#39;re revamping the regular kazaa 2.6 in a KLK++ one. nice&#33; to make it popular you should use the same outlook (icons, menu&#39;s etc) as KLK++ cause many people are familiar with it.. so that&#39;s a big point to make it popular as also the name is important.. Lite is wellknown all over the world.. when you change you&#39;re program name to ultimate kazaa (or something) people will think &#39;what the hell is that&#39; but&#39;s that&#39;s not what you get when you keep &#39;lite&#39; in the name.. people know it and willing to test it.. so i like the idea KLR --&#62; Kazaa Lite Revolution this will people let know it&#39;s back&#33; :)

Until now - I had no good reason to do it. I did not want to spend a lot of time on re-installing the many applications that are currently on my system. Also - on my weak PIII 450 MHZ - I was told XP/2000 might be too "heavy"...

KL is also - not good enough reason... ;) . So I can only hope that since many of the KL users are 98th - someone will think of us too, or we&#39;ll have to move to DietK and reduce the KL community significantly (yes, it is a threat... :P )

rafi d, i&#39;m running Win2k on p3 500MHz with 128 RAM and it&#39;s running smoothly. You can get Win2k with sp3 on emule. check sharereactor. Thought i&#39;d let you know.

We are almost finished with our version,It will be called Kaza Lite Revolution (KLR).Thanks to Vargas for the name. We also added file manager and multi-user support to our version of KLExensions. but a few qeustions:
when you do a search now with 2.6 there&#39;s apearing now an adspace (yeah it&#39;s empty cause it&#39;s blocked by host) above the search field (the half of the page is adspace&#33;&#33; :angry: ) it&#39;s very annoying such a small search result place, so will this adspace that&#39;s showing with each new search will be deleted?? please :P

you said allready that we could change the frontpage , is there a same chance we could change the start tab webpage being displayed in the search tab, cause if not i think you should get rid of the start tab all the way cause it doesn&#39;t have any advantage, so delete it or make it an option.

are you also changing the green color of kazaa into the blue of KL? that would be neat :P

btw i hope it&#39;s the first RC is done soon, for now can you post some screenshots of the integration of you KLE and options panel or something like that, just to make sure it&#39;s not an hoax cause i would really really be disappointed and i think with me many others. and could you host the unpacked kazaa 2.6 somewhere so we could also have a look in it. that would be neat :D

RileyF, this guy really does look like a hoaxer to me, these posts are the only ones he&#39;s made :lol: , so guys i really wouldnt get your hopes up (although the features stated are good, and he could prove me wrong, but i seriously doubt it), so check out the other versions of 2.6 or stick to 2.4.3 with angent smiths updates B)
