1.) Open the window you want to make a screen shot of.

2.) Hit "Print Scrn/SysRq" on your keyboard, its located above the arrow keys.

3.) Open up paint and hit "Ctrl+V" and there you go!

4.) Use an image host to upload your pictures. I perfer these (http://www.chinkii.com/uploads/) guys. It's free and easy

Numbers on your picture...

1.) Enable= This is used to enable/disable your ports. Instead of deleting everything you just disable it.

2.) Discription= Used to tell you what progam is using those ports. In this case Bittorent.

3.) Ports= This is what ports you use. In my guide its shown there.

4.) TCP= Just enable to TCP

5.) IP= Your LAN IP, this is were you type your LAN IP.

I just checked in my bittorrent download window...I clicked on "prefs" and there it told me that my port range was from 6881 to 6999 so now I changed those numbers in virtual server ...was that the right thing to do??

Or should I change the numbers in bittorrent to the original ones I posted before??

muchspl2
12-11-2003, 04:40 AM
your fine you don't have to change shit
6881 - 6889 is open in your router, thats enought for 9 different torrents to download, more is unnessecery

http://www.dessent.net/btfaq
or even better on routers and bt
http://userpages.umbc.edu/~hamilton/btclientconfig.html

if your running xp, you should turn off xp's firewall

start -> run -> type "services.msc" (WITHOUT THE "") ->return -> turn off icf internet connection firewall
leave your AV on, but if you have a software firewall like za, just allow bt to access the internet

far

Um U didnt tell me what to do when I get to "services.msc"...I turned off my internet connection firewall

true story
even if i disable router & software firewall and av (just for testing) i have yellow often.
i see the other colors too on some occasions (blue-green) so tell me much how is that possible?

well all in all not complaining my max dl speed on 1 torrent was 600KB and i know i can't double that with my connection ;)

btw was already disabled on install by me... "services.msc" :P

I don't now, but if its always yellow, something not right
things ill throw out even though I know you have done most :)
xp firewall
make sure bt in your firewall complete access to the net - Internet & server
router ports, test by dmz'ing its easy to forward the wrong ip
thats all off the top of my head, mine starts out yellow, but within a few minuets it always turns green
