Yep, I just installed a few programs and let the modding commense. I swear it feels like I'm using osx jaguar right now. Very nice feeling.

See on the desktop, where it says Install suplamental Drivers, run that with the vista disc in the cd drive, and tehn it will install your drivers.

Go to ontrol Panel > System, > Advanced > Performance area > Settings button Visual Effects tab "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop"

Try one of those sites I gave you above for a decent wallpaper, ensuring it's the correct size.

Sort your desktop out more neatly. Organise your icons into groups and instead of saving any downloads from the web onto your desktop create a folder for that as well. For example...

As you can see my whole desktop is sorted out my HDD's / Rom's, Media, Security & Maintenance, P2P, Gaming.

I also have a folder titled 'Samurai'. Inside I have several other folders where I keep my most important data... Documents, Drivers, Patches, Program Files, Wallpaper, Windows XP Themes etc...

Again there may be more sub-folders inside these to clear it up further.

In any case I prefer to ensure it's as neat as possible. There are a few people who prefer nothing on the desktop but I'm not one of them.

There are also programs about to put "Widgets" on your desktop thus not needing folders, such as DesktopX (http://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/)

Loads of possibilities for you ;)

Yep. 2 LCD's. A Dell 1901FP and a Dell 1801FP.

As for the widget, I used to use Avedesk but I hated it so I switched to Yahoo Widgets. The top weather one is a simple weather widget, and the bottom right one is another versatile widget that will run/display just about anything you throw at it. Takes a while to get it looking like that, but it was worth it. :)

nah, it's xp. contrast on the start button is higher.

98 also has a constant "error" pop-up hidden off the side of the screen so the user doesn't get embarrassed when they snapshot their computer. :whistling
