what is the purpose of irc and mirc? I am new to all of this stuff and I was just wondering if it could help me found new files or what? Please help

Here it is primarily a chatroom.

However we have addons, so you can download music.

It also gives you a chance to talk and share files with ppl from this forum, either through DCC for small files or ftp servers for larger files.
