I see people doing screenshots and wanted to know how it was done?

press 'print screen' on ur keyboard and then go to a prog like paint and press ctl+v to paste it in

Welcome to the board! :)
As you are fairly new I won't flame you for not using the Search option on Top right.
For next time, its a good idea as it has been asked several times. Also, this is a not a google replacement :D Its still better to use google.

Anyways, Press Ctrl + PrintScreen. This will copy the image of desktop or a window if its maximized.

Alt + PrintScreen captures the current window.

After doing that go to Start > Run
Type pbrush
This will bring up Paint Brush. Press Ctrl + V to paste the image and then save it.
Upload it to a host and you are done ;)
