Do you have a DVD burner or just want to burn to CD-R/RW and does your DVD player support VCD's and SVCD's?

I really like the DVD Builder in Roxio's EZCD DVD Creator and if any files need to be converted I also recommend Cucusoft AVI to VCD/DVD/SVCD v3.55 as it will convert and split avi and mpeg files to the proper format if the DVD builder doesnt support them.

Edit: pics.

and for the correcting the format of the avi and mpeg if they have incorrect htz or pal format and the builder doesnt want to encode them.

roxico = shit
for best results use tmpgenc and convet it to vcd/svcd/kvcd your choice, I like kvcd but you can start just buy doing vcd's
then you need to burn with nero
http://www.nero.com
http://www.tmpgenc.net

if you want to learn about kvcd look in my sig B)

yes teh suxx0r
plus roxico can't even burn bins (wtf is up with that)
just ask anyone that has done this for awhile, hell anyone who recognizes quality  , you can't get quality from a program that happens to encode cause they added it to be like nero, nero doesn't do a good job either, thats why you use burning apps to BURN!! not to encode, and like I stated, tmpgenc = winner

So that is a yes or no that you tried roxio's encoder??

As for bins can nero burn .mds, .ccd, .cue, .iso, .bwt, .cdi, .nrg, .pdi and give you the option to add other shell extensions like Alcohol 120 can. Thats not the subject here.

I believe we are talking about encoding and the ability to drag and drop and avi or mpeg....select burn and walk away and in 1.5 hrs still have a good quality vcd, dvd, svcd.

that happens to encode cause they added it to be like nero

EDIT: Nero added an encoder to keep up with roxio, just check the build and release dates!!

yes I have, guess you don't like quality

you can take the Pepsi challenge yourself, but I will just let someone else back me up on the fact the nero/roxico doesn't do a good job at encoding
if you want to learn the best, learn tmpgenc, if you want shit, stay with roxico

in fact I don't know why I bother, stay with roxico, you were right, that burning app does such a great job at encodeing I should drop everthing I have learned over the years and just use that, dame thanks for opening my eyes

i don't know why the preview is all black. and what's the difference between NTSC and PAL and which one should i use? Also, what does "Split Target in Mpeg" mean?
NTSC and PAL Standard (http://www.ihffilm.com/ihf/videostandard.html)

You split the mpeg if the file will end up to large to fit on 1 cd.

GAH, it's going at 3fps..taking 16 hours for 800MB..
Did you try pressing the play button? Have you played the file and seen that it works and that you have the proper codecs?
That is a long time to encode, how fast is your processor and how much ram do you have? You may also try closing any apps you have running in the background also.

Bummer, you could do a little research on you motherboard and find out what you can upgrad to on the processor and check prices on ebay.
It still should take that long though, are you using cucusoft to convert and did you find the 'fix' for the full version?

Yep, you know it all. I use to use TempEnc a long time ago, still like my app.

Guess you are right, leave encoding and converting to the speciality apps. err...isnt nero talkning about adding a converter now? LMFAO.

I am not trying to persuade you to use anything, I simply state what I like to use and suggest that they may like to give it a try. Of course 'as always' you just shoot off at the mouth...err keyboard and badmouth what anyone has to say if it doesnt pertain to nero and temp.

I still say try them all and keep the one that works best for you and your system.

@muchspl2

Better yet, lets just change the topic of softwareworld to nero/tempenc/sygate. Would that make you happy noob.

Edit: Sorry, thats the first time I ever used the noob term. I was just checking muchspl2's post out and noticed that he likes to noob bash. I think its funny, its like the pot calling the kettle black.

I am not arguing with you, but you have been wrong on many many occasions, your so dense you think you can fit over a gig on a normal cdr with roxico and I quote

I was cleaning up my hard drive so I made a direct cd (incd for Nero users).
I wasn't paying any attention to to files that I was dragging and dropping, but when I was done it said that there were 9 MB left so I closed the cd.

I ejected the cd and placed it back in (just to check the integrity before deleting the files off my hard drive) and I noticed that the size of the disk is 1.34 GB.
All the files are accessible, but they do load and install a little slower.

The only thing I can think of is that direct cd must have compressed the disk.

This is the largest over-burn for me yet, I just wonder if I could have gotten the other 9 MB on the disk

so you track recored shows you know jack shit about burning/encoding
