Ok after you done all that reformatting and partition stuff you have to boot with the Win98 CD and then when it askes Boot Computer with cd or without cd you select boot with cd right? and then it automatically installs or you have to type something?

the disk should be bootable.
if it's not, just boot to a 98 boot disk (you have one right?) with CDrom support, and run setup.exe.

bootdisk.com for the boot floppy if you don't have it. The generic command for most dos stuff is autoexec

It'll look for any executable, the most likely one first. It does work with the windows boot floppies.

Either boot with the cd (needs to be set in bios to look for boot record in cdrom before ide0 ;) ) or win98 startdisc, select start my pc with cdrom support, let it do its thing, when it gets to command prompt A:\ type E:\setup (E: being your cdrom ;) ) I say E:\ and not D:\ because booting with a startdisc creates a "virtual" drive so your cdrom letters move on one letter ie D becomes E and E becomes F etc ;)

Just follow msdos instructions upon inserting cd and you'll not get lost.
