View Full Version : Whats The Smoothest Xvid Codec To Use?

Ok got the Kill Bill DVD rip and heres the Problem Video Lan plays it perfect must be there codecs. which are good

yet Avi Preview plays it with a slowish motion not as smooth as video lan, next problem is encoding with TMPGEnc it uses the crap XVID codecs not the good Video lan X Vid codecs

any Suggestions??

put our tmpgenc like this for encodeing ignor any you DON't have, and nicks xvid is what I have, seems pretty stabel. google for it

do you have latest k-lite codec pack?

btw....none of the xvid codecs that avi preview uses is "crap"....have u tried playing in win media player?

Ok got Nics codec yep it plays perfect now on avi preview!!

but now on TMPGEnc no picture!!

so whats your saying is I do what your screen shot shoes exactly like it???

Tri this codec mate alot faster than nics.With a decent player too.

Nothing personnal to you mate..but this really gets on my nerves

Check you have the audio codecs installed like mp3,ac3 etc.

hey ck-uk

you know what I have noticed, me and you seem to be the only one who don't have to extract the audio before encoding
the only time I did that was on ac3 sound just cause I read you have to, but I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't have to even do it on that even :lol:

I&#39;m beginning to think that MPEG quality is just crap because when you encode to MPEG the movement is show,
