Nope,

connect you s-video cable to your tv, and the other 2 coloured (Red White )connectors are for the audio-out cable from your soundcard.

I use S-video too, but the soundcard audio-out go's to my stereo.

SO it goes like this

Video >>>>PC > S-Video (tv-out) >>>> TV S-Video Input

Audio>>>>Pc > Line Out>>>>>>TV Red and White Inputs

I will link it up to my Dolby Digital System from the PC i think

Hi, just a bit of help, if you dont already know.
You can only run tv out at 800/600 as any bigger, e.g. 1024/768, gets cut off around the edges.(there are different settings for wide screens, probably.)
You also need to set your graphics card to clone.
If you are wanting to watch in an other room, you need to either buy or make an audio out cable.
You can use an old pair of headphones for small jackplug, and, depending on tv end, rca plugs are about 50p to buy, alternately, cut some off an old turntable or similar.
For the distance wire, you can get away with ordinary 3 core electrical wire, or even telephone extention wire, remember, the ground from each rca plug can be joined as they are getting same signal anyway.
I have made several different audio/video leads, my own is 15 ft svideo cable + same audio , cost £10.00 for svideo lead, £5.00 for audio cable.
easy to do, just three wires.

If its in the same room, just connect from the s-video out on the video card to the tv and have the audio play out of the speakers on the computer?
