well here are 2 i here my computer grinding making a horible noise and also how can i tweak fans i don't really mind noise but not noise that sounds like things aren't working right

u can oil the fans by taking the small sticker of the fan, and put a drop of veg oil in it. only a little, this should lube it.

huh? it sure seems a lot of people on this forum can't express themselves clearly.
take a minute to read what you've typed before posting.

if it's a fan making a grinding noise just replace it. they are cheap...

slowing down fan speed will quiet things a bit. but, be sure to monitor your CPU temperature.

yea i was scared to do this when i first did it...

it can fix the problem for a while.... but 2 bad it doesnt for good :( but you can keep oiling it like a car :) :rolleyes:

yea i was scared to do this when i first did it...

i think i need to do it to one of my fans, its a bit noisy, but i think ill just remove it as im trying to quiten the system down, and im getting a new pc anyway. parts coming on wednesday

DO NOT use vegetable oil on your fan.

im sure i got a link of here a little while ago showing you how to do it. and im sure that guy used veg oil. what would be better to use?

its a grinding noise i don&#39;t know much, its a sound not a fan a grinding noise hd maybe? memory? processor? i dunno but my other question i meant can i controll the fan speed, make it spin faster or slower

yeah, you can connect the fans to a lower voltage, making them slower, theres a 5v line, and also a 7v i think maybe/

edit: if it is your hdd i would be worried if i were you.

its nothing to do with your mobo, it your psu, and all psu have the same voltage lines,

the psu is covered by a giant stick how do i get to it
