hi ive just recently instaled windows xp home edition, but now my friend has just gave me a windows xp professional edition disc should i install it is it worth updating to PROF what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing this

Maybe this (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/evaluation/default.asp) will help you figuring out the difference.Don't think it's really worth changing from home to proffesional.But it may depend on what you're using your comp for.

edit:maybe better to check out Zedaxaxs' link. ;)
