The only quibble I have (almost hate to point it out) is that the text in some of the review boxes is running over the borders on the right side.

we names it klite because we originated from this forum me and sh and sh old site name was kazaa lite tools

but you see its not a kazaa lite site. as i said its still in beta mode and is going to be changed lot more

as far as the forum sking goes, i&#39;ve installed the forum and now i&#39;m instaling about 70 or 80 skins i belive, each skin is going to have a small(regular) and a big(expanded) version

but don&#39;t hold me to that because i have to see what the speed is going to be and how many we can carry or i need to upgrade the specs :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Few Suggestions/Queries: Dont put too many skins for board. Two should be more than sufficient. Present one looks good. Btw, why is registration disabled?

Top-right: It doesnt look complete. Things look missing in there. You might consider adding some quote about filesharing or whatever you want a "slogan" for klite tools. Or just say something like the "Most comprehensive Freeware Archive" etc. I am sure you guys must be upto something about that.

Where are the names of you both? lol :D A section would be interesting about you both came up with all this.

Feedback form looks too squishy. The Comment box should be resize to a considerable length of maybe 8 lines?
It will look more professional if all this is in the center of the page and not aligned to left margin.

The reason I ask is I am having dificulty getting the index.html to upload to my server.
It connects and lets me access the server but fails to load the index to my server index.
Any help on this?

Don&#39;t know if WebPageMaker works like this, but I ues SiteSpinner V2 and have the option to upload my webpages to my harddisk and after that uploading it to the my ISP&#39;s ftp server and that did the trick for me.
May be a stupid question but you&#39;ll never know: I a page is made in WebPageMaker you saved it as a .wpm. Rename it to index.html maybe that&#39;ll work. If not, just upload your site to your harddisk (so your project is actually saved as HTML on your harddisk) and upload it using SmartFtp or Filezilla to your ISP&#39;s server.

Ok, I saved it as an html file and ftp&#39;d it.
The text all showed up but none of the pics, backgrounds or bars and such.
I had a subfolder labeled images that I then ftp&#39;d all the images to.
Now everything shows up but the images and backgounds that web page maker made (I transfered all their images also).

I dont know why the table is in center, but cenetr works somehow :D You need to fix that.

I think the div is already aligned center so it will do the job unless table is aligned something else(overwritten). In other words if anything else is not messed up then simply doing div center should do it.


Also, why do you have the styles on every page when you are calling a css file? You can include all the styles in one page. It will make the code look much clearer and will never mess up in any of the browsers due to overwritting styles.

I am joining in between so I dont know much going on. Just read your post. I never used WebPage maker myself but as a webdeveloper can just say that those auto template designer tools insert a lot of junk.

Anyways, just make sure you maintain the directory structure and upload all folders subfolders and images in them. It should do it.


Edit: After renaming did you move your file to some other dir?

Yes, it is actually called publish project. Within SiteSpinner&#39;s built in ftp there are two choices: publish project to harddisk and publish project to ftp. First you can publish it to your harddisk (that is what I meant by uploading). Once done that, the website will be on the harddisk. Cause in SitSpinner V2 you can check "gather images". This means that when publishing SiteSpinner makes sure al inserted images will be collected and uploaded as well. Once I&#39;ve done that I choose publish project to ftp. That did the trick for me.

That is what pagemaker is supposed to do, but it fails loading the images.
It only sends &#39;what looks like&#39; a partial binary code as the index.html. Looks like viewing a jpg with notepad.

@MM, nah its not php. Its html. You have the <div> tags before the table. And in that you already have given <div align ="center"> and table tags are within the div so unless you give something like <table align ="right"> to overwrite the original style, it will always be centered. As it didnt recognize center and thought it was junk so it took div alignment. :)

Yup it was introduced in Html 4.0 If i recall correctly, and the <center> tags were deprecated for good. So <div> with alignment attribute was a replacement to center tags.

HFS is a diferent thing ,is not a ftp client , is a personal server very easy to setup and use , personally i have smart ftp as ftp client adn hfs as server.

You wont find it on any websites designed by professionals or serious programmers. Programmers go by the standard and replace techniques as soon as possible for the better. Nowadays, I am having a transition from stop using tables and start using divs for table alignment. It is so easy to align things in a certain way with tables but as a programmer certainly thats not the right way. Tables are not supposed to be used for alignment. Div work great. Its interesting how you can define alignment in css and just call the class whereever you need the table.

The site loads okay but I get a message saying &#39;do you want to let this site paste data onto your clipboard&#39;
A can click a hundred times, the message still returns and browsing isn&#39;t possible.
Never had this on any other sites.

edit: the message is normally in Dutch so I translated it

Nope, the message appeears again and even clicking yes, the message continues to show up. Very annoying. I even have to shut down MyIE2 by using the taskmanager&#33;
For your site, I hope it is a fault in my configuration atlhough I never seen this at any other website and like I said in the other posting, it works fine using Mozilla Firebird 0.7

:) Hey buddy, I think most people dont really think about grammar or spelling when are typing on boards. "You" changes to "U", "I am" changes to "Im" and many other. You turn into a kid again while typing on boards :D .

but there are two ways to let the other person know what the mistake is. One is coming out in the public and saying directly on his face " You are wrong." Just try imagining, if someone walked upto you and corrected you about something which you were sensitive about.
Other way is, to silently correct the problem yourself. Next time you say the same thing just say it correctly. Other person will know it and wont feel bad.

Don&#39;t confuse ad-aware with spyware .Opera has adds too , and is a excellent browser. And when you install Flashget you run Ad-Aware and get rid of all the adds without any problems.Is still working after that.

When you install it mate with the option to install freeware or shareware "choose shareware".You&#39;ll just have a banner at the top of the program mate.You dont really need to crack it if you dont want because you dont need the program interface running to use. :)
