Winamp 5 Is It Final ?

Winamp 5 released but is it final ???

apologize to W2S readers for jumping the gun and saying Winamp5 Final is released, cause its not officially announced on Winamp.com Main Page. There is also a second sign that this is not the official final release. I remember on Winamp forums that they were having "Polls" on "NAME for Winamp5" (I had dropped "Winamp MX" as my suggestion).

But the latest build to download is dated on Dec 14.

* modern skin - fixed version detection for skins that use wasabixml tag, fixed unclickable "old skin" msgbox

* fixed gen_ml -recurse bug

Yeah.I guess we can not call it Final untell the Website is changed.Which is not going to happen tonight.It is 10:39 out West.Even though they said by Midnight the Site would be changed. :blink:

Lavasoft the company behind winamp seems to be stuck in a battle between the original owner and the current owners Timewarner who he sold it too, the guy is still the boss there but wants to keep his l33t credentials so he does things that are agaist company policy even to the point of not listening to them, the release of waste was a good example which apparently is now on sourceforge http://sourceforge.net/projects/waste/

It's official. The website was updated and it was announced, but good luck getting it to load. I bet it's being slammed with all kinds of people continually hitting F5. :)

I only saw the main page once, and couldn't get anywhere else on the site, because the server wasn't responding anymore, but it's there...
