Are These Temperatures Dangerous?

the "mainboard" temp in red is 54 deg Celcius if you can't read it

edit:this is with an amp athlon 1900+ xp (under full load which is obvious from viewing the picture)

if the 52 is your cpu, it aint to bad. since im guessing its under some load at least.

the thing i would worry about is your 12v line, seems a bit to high.

it's nothing to be too worried about (the 1900 is rated up to 85 degrees celsius, i believe), but you might want to think about a better heatsink and/or fan to bring the temp down :)

dont know why its so high, but you could check it in your bios, because sometimes programs arent that accurate, so double check temps and vlotages in bios.

actually, recently when i had the computer open, i booted it up... and i accidentally knicked the fan with my hand and it broke a blade off.... the result is a very very noisy fan (causes the case to vibrate) but i don't believe it caused the temp to rise much if at all... this is just a cheap emachines i got a year and a half ago for $400 somthing i believe... i just need it to last my another year or two... although i'll probably pick up a new fan as soon as i can.... i can't stand the noise much longer.

@abu... i'm also encoding finding nemo into a kvcd and writing an english paper... i'm sure the paper isn't influencing that much

@clocker... its most likely reading right, when i turn it on in the morning the hd is usually at 14-16 deg... case has no fans... other then the psu one... thats most likely why

That doesn't explain why your motherboard is 12deg hotter than your CPU.
Or why all your voltage readings are weird.

i already checked in my bios for any temperature readings.... there is none, so nothing to compare it against

Replace the cpu fan. A fan with a damaged blade won't last long, and when it stops working your temps will rapidly go through the roof.

I suspect your mobo and cpu temps are reversed (which is quite common), I would doubt if your mobo temp would be higher than your cpu temp.

4 screws and a plug to unplug and it&#39;s removed.

hey abu, I noticed that you have 2 120 GB drives. I suggest that you buy the Promise Fast Track TX2 IDE RAID ATA100 Controller Card w/2 Cables *** (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=130430)

It is such a badass increase in speed going RAID 0...and quite stable. Some might say it is dangerous with 2 different manufacturers of HDD&#39;s but I think it will be okay. All you need to do is load a driver as you install XP and it works like a charm. Somehow it only takes less than 20 minutes to install XP with RAID 0. And you have like a 250 GB disk&#33;&#33;&#33;

Dont forget to back up, though... ;)
