I use MP3TagEditor.
I don't know where it is.
but you can delete/update tags for whole folders at a time.

THE BEST mp3 tag editor I've found to date is TagScanner. I've been using this program for many years now after it was recommended to me on another forum. One of the best features however is it's ability to export playlists to html. It looks great.

"Multifunction program for renaming MP3/OGG/MP+ files, using TAG information and vice versa. Also you may get album info via internet music database freedb.org. Supports ID3v1, up-to-date ID3v2 and OGG-info tags. Worksheets technology. Powerful TAG editor with batch functions and special features. Playlist maker with ability to export playlists to HTML or Excel. Built-in player.Very useful interface."

The website is here (http://xdev.narod.ru/index_e.htm).

Latest relese is TagScanner 4.8 Build 481 and can be downloaded here (http://www.rialnet.ru/~serega/files/tagscan.zip). The size of this file is only 990kb.

can it remove a bunch of files' tags?

Of course. "Powerful TAG editor with batch functions".

Basically all you'll need to do is select the directory at the bottom of the program (Click on 'Batch Tagger' tab) where your mp3 files are stored (normally My Music), and the software will 'read' all the mp3 files stored.

Then all you'll need to do is click either ID3v1 or ID3v2 and ensure that the action is selected as 'Remove TAG'. I have roughly 1500 mp3's and takes around 1 minute for ID3v1 and 2 minutes for ID3v2 tags to be removed.

To think... I used to remove them all manually before I laid my hands on this beauty

Enjoy, Samurai

yeah DWk.
that last link you posted(the app at the bottom) is the one I use.
I've tried a bunch....I just like it cuz it's simple, and almost exactly like Windows Explorer, just for mp3s.

If you need any help with TagScanner I'll be more than happy to help. It's pretty self-explanatory though, and it even looks good! lol
