im curious to know if any of you have tried to commit suicide, the methods you used, the consequences you faced afterwards if any, what made you try it, and whats stopping you from trying it again.

also this could be a helpful thread, maybe some people out there that are contemplating it may change their mind when they see they dont have it as bad as some people do.

I agree

There are a lot of young minds here.

To me this is a bridge too far, taking into account some of the potential readers.

Very poor taste.

i didnt start this thread for any negative reasons, its just a curiousity. i would say though that this thread is intended for adults.

We had a thread here like this last year, or early this year, it was pulled. It wasn't deemed appropriate then, and I don't believe it is now. That is not to say you had any bad intent when starting the thread.

i still dont understand what the problem is, i mean its a serious issue but a real issue. and if someone cant handle that maybe they shouldnt enter the thread, i mean common sense would tell you by the thread name what its all about.

We had an age poll a while ago, around half the people replying were under 18, some as young as 12. You can't stop them reading threads.

If you intended this thread to be taken seriously then you shoudn't have given it such a cursory title. Who made it official? You? What qualifies you?

What do you intend to do with the information you've extracted from people who were in varying states of depression. Do you intend to help them? If so, what qualifies you?

Or is all this just to satisfy your dubious curiosity? If so, exploit other peoples' problems elsewhere.

well i made it official, and i qualify myself. also threads like this one can do more good than harm because like i said earlier im sure someone who thought they had a rough life will see maybe theirs isnt so bad afterall. and as i said before this is the lounge and we can post about whatever we wish, so if you dont like it dont read it thanks:)

i dont think this thread is too big a problem and unless the persaon is already not quite stable ( couldn't think of better choice of words) then this thread should do no harm.

and i have not tried it or even considered it because even if there is something bad happening i always try to be positive about it and i always hope that things will end up better than what it is now :)

see i always tell myself no matter how bad things are right now at this moment, i have been through a whole lot worse and that i will be able to handle the situation.

thats my best piece of advice to anyone - think positive :)

otherwise everything just seems bad and you get into a downwards spiral of depression and nothing is gonna get better because you dont believe iit will

( i think that makes sense im not too sure though)

see though what most people dont realize is that depression is a disease and can be hereditary. and if you are suicidal or have depression go get help its not good to try to face it alone.

Bi-polar condition is a depressive type mental disease, and it can be hereditary.
