View Full Version : The Stupidest Post Etiquette

Just a simple question of etiquette.

I recently told someone that their post was the stupidest one I ever read. Is it standard procedure to review your posts to see if you have said that before. If you have, are you required to PM the author of that first post and inform them that they are now #2 on the stupidest post list?

These issues keep me awake at night, I just want to do the right thing.

Well I am now enlightened and I feel the need to tell you that this is the dumbest and most pointless post I have seen, and your attempts to seem mature and clever are just as pointless.

Now was that within the pale's of "Etiquette" or was it rude and "Beyond the pale"?

Well within the "pale" and a response I shall treasure until I PM you that I no longer treasure it.

But the question remains unanswered.

Perhaps the topic was a bit too hot and controversial for you to deal with?

If you are as clever as you make out to be, you would find the answer in my reply.

Maybe I need to draw a diagram for you...

Oh hobbes, how I envy your desire to be correct in these most fluid of times.
As I wish to follow your example also ( you are my hero!), I googled for advice from Miss Manners.
She is unequivical in her response.
These days it is not enough to merely PM the original object of your disdain informing them of their demotion on your "most stupid" list.
You must PM every single user of the Internet.

You had best get busy.

As I am alphabetically near the beginning of your list, I shall be expecting notification in say, oh, 2008?

Clocker, as much as I respect your input, I think that Adster gave the best advice, although it appears to be in some sort of Morse code.

Somebody needs to realize that I am not seeking an answer, just trying to poke some life into a rather quiet forum.

Oh.
I catch your drift.
Adster's advice was certainly en pointe, I agree.
