Intel P4 3.0GHz Socket 478 512k (800MHz)
512MB PC3200 DDR (Atlas Precision)
Pretest Motherboard & CPU - Install Fan & Set CPU
none
2 System Case Fans
Artic Silver Thermal Compound
420 Watt ATX Power Supply (P4 / AMD Certified)
MSI 865PE-NEO2-LS - INTEL 865PE w/ Serial ATA
Thermaltake - P4 Spark 7 +

That toal is 609.53. This includes the motherboard, processor, memory, cpu fan, powersupply, and thermaltake right? ust making sure im reading it right. He already has a burner, dvd player, soundcard, hard drive, and ethernet card he wants to use for the system. I need to find a good case for this system to. Am I forgeting anything and is this a pretty good system for under $1000?

cabling if any is needed? maybe go with some rounded cables, they help airflow and alot easyer to keep wiring tidy with them aswell.

What cabling do you think ill need? I am going to salvage parts and stuff from there older computer? Can I use those ones? The power supply comes with wires and hard drives come with wires.

most mobo usually come with a ide and fdd cable, and youll have ones from the old system aswell, but they are pretty cheap of ebuyer, only about £2

this is a bad case. my mid tower has 4 hidden 3.5 bays and 2 showing. this one only has 2 hidden. and it only has 1 80mm fan hole in the back. i wouldn't recommend it.

y get the 5600xt 256mb? spending more on 256mb is a waste of money...go for a better card w/ 128mb of memory...most games out dont even use 128mb yet.

and if u decide to get a 5600xt, make sure u pick one w/ 128bit memory bus and not teh 64bit one.

I seriously recoommend Aria (http://www.aria.co.uk/) as a first point of call for all your needs. The prices are pretty good too. Been using them for years, and if you're not sure on a particular item, read the customer reviews. There's normally some on all products.

Thanks. But I prefer a U.S website because of the fact that I live in the U.S. But thanks anyways. Does anybody recommend a good case for this system? Are all the parts I listed aboce compatible with each other?
