Legalize It

When we sit in silence...... we encourage hidden agendas.
It's time for me to speak up.

Even if my board name speaks volumes.......I for the most part have refrained
from pot politics in this forum.......However I have heard my family and
friends position a thousand times over.

So I thought I would solicit opinions from board members.
Do you have one? (opinion)

Anyone?


I believe that as an adult (so to speak)..........I have the right
to do as I wish to my own body.

I work just to pay taxes it seems most of the time (as I am sure many of
you do).

I was sent to fight as a boy in a war with a man that we the U.S.
used for his cocaine (Panama and Noriega)

We finaced rebels with money from the fruit of these transactions
all because of perceived invasion from the commies.

It appears that our politicians feel that if the end justifies the means........
then pushing around a littel powder on our streets is a small
price to pay.

Yet I can't smoke a joint after work.
Go figure ;)

Kids stay clean.......Let your brain fully develop..........Before you tear it apart
and rebuilt it.

In a way I agree with you, I too feel I have a right to do what I want to with my body but the problem is (and I'm gonna sound very condescending) is that a LOT of people are not responsible enough to be allowed to do what they like.

Mind you if you're only talking about legalizing pot then I say bring it on...it would stop all these boring "legalize it" arguments :P

In some states in Australia pot has been de-criminalised, and you can grow 5 plants for your own use and carry up to an ounce on you. Unfortunately not in the state I live in.

When I was younger I was busted for growing and now I have a criminal record, which I think is disgusting. I was harming no one but myself and I don't think it should be anybody else's business what I do in my own home.

I agree with BD kids, leave it alone until you're already f**ked. hehehe

I've so far managed to raise straight children, although only one is really old enough to have made any such decisions. But I kinda think that may be because she spent a lot of time at parties with stoned people and watched us and thought 'Shit no, I don't ever want to look like that!' :lol: A lot of my pothead friends also have straight children, way old enough to make the choice that have decided against.
