Touche noob. I think a certain Scottish mod secretly edited my post, this is how I actually typed it. ;)

"No you manifest prejudice, which is uniquely Scottish, so no worries there. At least you have enough insight into your cerebral incompetence to select an appropriate username."

TheDave read it as intended, I wanted to turn the tables and see how Scottish people enjoyed being lumped into the "prejudice" category. Such an unfair and ignorant generalization, equal to that given by the original poster. TheDave didn't like it, as I intended.

It was meant to be ironic; however, the addition of a single letter by some higher power, slightly twisted the meaning.

I just wonder how "I don't like black people, I hope I'm not acting like one." would have been received. I doubt it would have been greeted with a :D and then forgotten.

Yes I admit Hobbes, the majority of Scots are prejudiced. Prejudiced to the right of the common man wherever he/she lives, regardless of, colour or creed or whether they have oil that can be exploited for our gain.

Yes, I understand that. Americas' duplicity, in regard to domestic versus foreign policy is acknowledged by American people who don't have their heads firmly up their asses.

In the US, when the snow hits the ground and immediately melts, we say that it is not "sticking".

When it gets colder and starts to build up like dandruff on the grass, it is said to be "sticking" to the ground. Your term seems to be "lying", from your intial post.

You realize that at this temperature that snow is going to have it's best "stickyness" for the effective creation of snowballs. Every year at first snow our university, would have a campus wide snowball fight. Rather a good time.

If the snow falls in large fluffy flakes and accumulates rapidly, we liked to car ski. You pop the trunk and grab on and let the car drag you down the street. I am not recommending that anyone do this, as it is a judgement thing.

Just a warning, you need at least 8 inches of snow to try this. You need 4 lane wide streets. Do not do this on a road in which cars are parked along the curb.

Once the snow gets this deep, you can barely get above 20mph, anyway.

Driving in snow is an oxymoron. It is more like "surviving a controlled skid".

In snow, if you hit the brakes, expect to start spinning in circles. Imaging the number of parked cars you can hit before coming to a stop.

Nothing wrong with a good snowball fight. The key is to attack with a flurry to get in close. Grab your enemy and do the old "stuff the snowball down the pants or if it is a female, down the shirt" trick.

the snow is about 4-5 inches where i live. i just went to the local shop and smacked a wee boy in the heid with a snowball. he did deserve it. i also scared the shit out of my mate, he was sitting in the back shop, eating a chicken curry and i pelted the window with a snowball and he jumped up and spilt his curry everywhere. ahh the joys of snow, now all i need is to be snowed in tomorrow, so i can avoid work.

ok i didn't read the thread but here is my snow story. don't worry, it's short.

went to asheville, N.C. the day before yesterday, some some flurries later into the night, next morning was clear.

then it turned grey, and a steady snow set in. i took some pictures, and left the city, to go home. then i went back into the city to get one last picture of the city, the skyline. i got caught in the beginning of what seemed like a blizzard to me(i'm from a place where it doesn't snow). it was blowing snow everywhere, the visibility was low, i couldn't take the picture i went back for. i had to leave, so as not to get stranded in the snow storm, as i left the higher elevation of the city of asheville, the snow let up, and i got home safely.

i was sad.

the end.

Grrr i blame Bush and global warming. This summer was 40c and now winters are getting colder.

I don't think it's gonna snow this winter :( tho it did snow last winter for the first time in freaking years.

-10 degrees celcius, pretty warm, yipee <_<

Yesterday, when you went outside, you looked like a snowman after two minutes.

Big fluffy snowflakes, annoying.

O.K.!!! Not enough time to read all post's, but sound's like a little wineing..
Ya want snow, drag your ass to Canada, and you'll have enough for an ice rink, snow angel's, snowmobiling, icefishing and whatever you fancy? :D
