i dunno but there has been a lot of post on gfx card in the past few days, and i post a thread similar to your, so unless you needed some count post, which is useless cuz they dont even show the count post any more, then this thread is....pointless.

P.S. thats it from me, i dont want to start another flamewar.....back to my gfx researching....go epinion

If you're trying to figure out why one product is priced differently than another company's product then why don't you ask those companies?

DWk
12-22-2003, 02:49 PM
even though the double of memory in the 5600, kunal? and yes, i know that it shouldnt matter, but i think the 5600 has more bandwidth, doesnt it?

All these video card threads lately...what to do, what to do?
It seems to me that they are all gaming-related.
"I wanna buy the best card for under $200 that will allow me to play the most advanced games for the next ten years..."

1.) There ain't any such thing. Haven't you figured out that the game designers and the card manufacturers WANT you to be obsolete in six months? That's how they stay in business.

2.) There must be gaming specific sites that already have this info posted. If Max Payne Boinks Lara Croft won't play correctly on your Mitsubishi GFX Hyper 11 card- somebody has already discovered it and it's posted out there somewhere!

I think that with just a minimal google-effort, half these threads would never have shown up in the first place.

i know that.... second i already used google....

"video cards comparison chart"
"directx 9 video cards comparison"
"graphics cards comparison"
"which graphic card is better"

i have like 10 more things i looked for...and they all pointed me to sites that didnt actually explained correctly what i wanted to know..... for example how this card works with how much FSAA, AA, and AS in this game, etc.....

so yea, if you know a good site.... why not be nice and post it, clocker? :) :)

Well, it sure looks like the kind of article that would answer your questions doen't it?
I don't game so I'm not at all familiar with the titles or whether one card is better or not.
At least you have some info to make your own decision though, right?

it's obvious. ati makes better cards than nvidia does. the 9600 got better benchies than the nvidia

an audi s2 is faster 0-30 than a mclaren f1, but that doesn't make audi a better marque than mclaren :)

Interesting comparison.

How does a McLaren do with Doom3?

lol. i'm sure we all agree that ati is better than nvidia. nvidia is cheaper, but ati has better quality. and it looks better too. (9800xt to a 5950)

well, it's old tech now (10 years approx) so it'll struggle at higher resolutions...

you can start the engine remotely though (which is always good for an extra 10% in 3d mark)

;)

nah.....if i got one of the two, i would pay the same (cuz of shipping, handling, taxes....).... but the warranty would be a pain in the ass....however if i buy something over here its cool cuz i got the warranty :)
