im planning on dling morrowind due to its gta style of open ended gameplay...and i was wondering what do you guys think of this game...and is it graphically demanding? im planning on buying a 9600 b4 this finish dling, would that be enough to play at max setting on 1024x768

Morrowind is one of the greatest proper RPG's ever created. End of story. You shouldn't have any problems running at 1024x768 on that graphics card, from what i've heard it can be quite demanding on the specs, but you shouldnt have any problems using that.

in my opinion its not a very good game,maybe it takes time to get into it, but i have a short attention span ;)

I agree. I played it for several hours and just couldn't get into it. It was so slow and boring I doubt if I'll even bother playing anymore. I still think Baldur's Gate was the best computer RPG I ever played.

It plays perfect on my 1.4ghz AMD Athlon with a GeForce 2 64MB @ 1024x768 with most things high.

It burned my new 32 meg video card a few seconds after the game started.

Aside from that it is very long and in depth it startes out really slow wtih a lot of slow walking. Nothing really interesting happens as far as plot or strategy for a long time. i gave up after a few days. The whole baulders gate series is a lot faster and more intersting, but is still realy in depth. Most of them give you a lot of choices too.

You mighta installed it wrong mate. It was new and you just started playing.

Why would you buy a new 32 mb vid card anyway? You can pick up a cheap one at least 64mb for £60.

Morrowind actually looks good on the old GF2 Mx, with a ~1Gb processor.

For someone who wants it today, you might as well buy the "game of the year" edition, which contains both bloodmoon and tribunal.

I'd also recommend getting the latest patches here (http://www.elderscrolls.com/index.php?url=/downloads/download_redirect.htm&bg=05) and the official plugins here (http://www.elderscrolls.com/index.php?url=/downloads/download_redirect.htm&bg=05)

And at least Rhedd's inofficial plugins here (http://home.wnm.net/~bgriff/MW_Home.html), or maybe one of the face replace plugins out there.

A hideaway plugin, to stash yer stuff might also be good, but don't get one that adds anything but a secret room somewhere or so.

Also, once you've gotten into the game get the boots of blinding speed, and the armour that blocks negative magic, from one of the wizard chaps in the east, but put the armour on first, thataway the blindness is blocked and you'll run like the wind. :)

i dont like baldur gates becuz its too fast pace....i like a slow pace rpg like morrowwind.

I got that game for free when i bought my Geforce FX5600 (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/vga/vga/pro_vga_detail.php?UID=502) and i tried it, and i was very bored i got to walk 3 minutes and i had to listen to an old men for 20 minutes talking about some personality crap, i just uninstalled the damn game... :blink:

It has good graphics tho... :lol:

First, its not the real games, its a registration thing that tells u where to download it WHEN if comes out, as you know its not out yet cuz of that hacker, or it'll giv eu instructions on how to get it in the mail -_-;;

I have an xbox and i noticed it was a platinum hit. 20 Bucks. CHEAP. Should i buy? (BTW im not much of an rpg fan should i still buy)

You can set it to automatically pause whenever someone in your party is attacked, and also after every 'turn' in a battle. That way you can take you time and plan your attacks.

y are you posting this agian....it was on your other post....y dont u try to find a demo for the pc and see if you like it first. could spend that $20 on modding your case if you dont like the game

I'm pretty sure it was the game becase it was working fine for a few days untill i tried to play morrowind and after a few seconds it got realy slow and then stopped working. You can see the darkened place on the card where it fried, and of course, it doesn't work at all now. it wasn't overclocked or anything
that was while ago though, and i've gotten a much better card since then. :)

This game totally rocks...get the game, all the expansions, everything. Plus there are shedloads of unofficial expansions that make this game even better...

I played this game for months on end. One of the greats...
