A:\ isn't actually there, my floppy drive isn't fitted (because I never use it and the space is handy for ventilation).
C:\ is my system drive, a Seagate 80GB ATA133 HD
D:\ is a storage space for media, an IBM 80GB ATA133 HD
E:\ is my new baby, a Seagate 160GB SATA150 HD (my pagefile and my movies are on there)
F:\ is my Liteon 16x DVD-ROM drive
G:\ is my Liteon 52x32x52 CD-RW drive
H:\ to K:\ are the slots in my 6-in-1 card reader
L:\ is my 64MB USB2 pen drive

Damn, I have a lot of storage space

Do you think it should count when they aren't really there (the 6 in 1 card reader etc)?

Oh and the ploppy drive, thats not there either.

What if you had:

3 optical drives (eg 2x CDRW, 1x DVDRW)
3 hard drives
one of them 4x drive letter card readers
an external USB hard drive
a floppy drive
one of them Zip drives (obsolete, I know but what the hell)
a USB pen (or 2 :P)
MP3 player

Thats... 16 drives I think.

Anybody know what comes after the alphabet?

Haha, just saw you called your PC holly  IQ of 6000 my arse...

Oh yeah, you seen them server CD drives, its like 6in1.

Last time I checked you can only have the 24 logical drive partitions, so I would think you could only have the 26 drives, if you count two floppy drives.

You were going to get a 120GB drive until you heard I got a 160GB one. That's just terrible one-up-manship.

Well, your loss (dem drives are expensive!) :P

one as primary master, one as secondary master (on ide) and one on s-ata

though you could have one on primary master, one on primary slave, one on secondary master, one on secondary slave and 2 on s-ata (but then you'd have no optical drives)

or you could buy a pci ide controller and have a load more :)

i was going to, but livy partly persuaded me not to

the transfer rates on internal s-ata should be quite a bit better than external :)
