Does anyone have any suggestions on which program is the best to view videos with? One that plays nearly all the extensions. I have BS Player however some of the files that I play with it show only a gray screen.

Have you tired playing the movies in another video player [eg WMP]? if it still shows a grey screen its likely tht it is your codecs

i agree with muchspl2, videolan is a good player.

if you want to update your codecs try the Gordion Knot Codec Pack (http://www.doom9.org/software.htm)
