i think all you should do is burn that into a cd.... not sure though....

however, those ARE the setup files and .cab's (cabs are like zip files with drivers)

not 100% sure about burning it tho :)

Why you downloading tar files? You run linux? That's probably a virtual install for wine or winlin.

its not a bad format for windows, balamm...you KNOW that....

yea its unusual but winrar gets the job done

ok, got 98 cd in.

The file size of the :

98 folder is 173 MB

Drivers folder is 101MB

= 274, but he may have left out webtv drivers and some other nonsense stuff to get it down to the basics.

Edit: those are 98 files as I am looking at the exact ones as you listed on my 98SE CD.

Give me a minute and I will make you one ;)

What do you want....ISO, .bin, ccd, blindwrite???

Also you know that M$ will not give support after jan. 16th 2004 for Win98/98SE

Hi skelley521 mine are only these sizes:-

Win98 is 104 megs cabs only with 91 files. Driver cabs 11 - 21 Win_98 22 -69.

Win98SE is 121 megs cabs only with 103 files. Driver cabs 11 - 20 Win_98 21 - 74.

kaiweiler why do you want a iso just copy files to a cd unless you want it bootable then you also need a bootdisc too.

hmm whatevers easiest ;)
i know how to do the .bin .cue thing, and iso is probably even easier then that
so if its easy, ISO is good

Same here also, Just lucky I had it out when I recently worked on a 98 machine.
Otherwise it would have taken me hours to find it.... :D

Thats the best I can do for now. I have 15 bitts. going; others are using the server and network is running some of the bandwidth also.

Cable modem is smokin' and hard drive is screamin' for a break and a glass of water..."NO" I say.....keep reading and writing....lol.

It should be steady as that amount is all I can reserve for ya.

Ok just cut the disc its bootable so if your mates machine can boot to a cdrom ie change it in the bios you can load from dos.
Give me 10 minutes will test it out first before I make an iso file will get back a.s.p then send you an pm with supernode and the key code which I have also put on the disc.
