I can't do a screenshot, but on the main page of this board, "archive.org" is in the active user list at the bottom (at the moment). It's not a member because the name is in black and isn't a link. What is it?

ARchive.org is a bot which stores the current site on their servers to show how sites did look in the past.
To see how it works go to
http://www.archive.org/
and enter http://www.aol.com into the search field (Wayback machine) and you will find archive dates like
Apr 21, 1997 *
Jun 05, 1997 *
Jun 25, 1997 *
Jun 26, 1997
Oct 14, 1997 *
Dec 11, 1997 *
Jan 11, 1998 *
Apr 25, 1998 *
Apr 29, 1998 *
May 08, 1998 *
Jul 16, 1998 *
Dec 01, 1998 *
Dec 02, 1998 *
Dec 03, 1998
Dec 12, 1998 *
If you click a date you will see how a site did look on this date.
