Welcome Screen

hi i got xp home and i got a question about the welcome screen. is there a way to disable it and the computer will go on my 1 and only account automaticlly instead of having to wait for the welcome screen to come up? also is there a way to disable the switch users option? thnks.

control panel>user accounts>change the way users log on or off
then uncheck the welcome screen :)

i did that and then rebooted but a box come up asking me to type in user name and click ok. i dont want 2 type in me user name cuase i only got 1! i just wana press the power button andi want it to log on my account automaticly with me click or typing anything. this is possible rite? how do u do it? thnks.

Have you removed the password for this account? You have to remove the password.

you can use TweakUI for XP to do that.
download it from Microsoft's site.

then in TweakUI, expand the "Login" thingy, then check the Autologon box and enter the username.
