Kay, here are some hints

1. You start by doing the same thing that you did in level 1, but since right click is disabled, you must find another way to get it. (there are 2 ways)

2. They try to trick you, What you just did isn't where you find out the answer, but it tells you where to look to get the answers.

3. Cache

4. The file that has the answer must be opened in a text editor, but it ussually isn't

Well if you found the password and username by yourself, you should be able to find the URL for level 3 right next to them. ;)

Here is the username and password for level 2...

UserName=Try2Hack
Password=NokiaRocks

When you copy it, make sure there is no spaces in front or after it. Since then it will not register it...

This is how I did it:

On the level 2 webpage go to View > Source
Notepad will popup showing the HTML code of that page.
Search for a .swf file (flash file).
You will find a file called flashlevel2.swf
Now using the address http://www.try2hack.nl/levels/flashlevel2.swf you should be able to get that file.
Open that file with notepad or an hex editor and search for "password".
There you go. Next to the password you&#39;ll find the username and the URL for level 3.

Perhaps there are other ways but hey this one works&#33; :D

Yeah, finding a VB 3 decompiler is quite boring but once you have it you can easily find the password and username.

So get the decompiler here (http://www.vbsoftware.cl/utilidades/vbdis3.zip). ;)

You don&#39;t need VB 3 to decompile it.
Run the file Vbdis3e.exe and just ignore the popup that says &#39;Visual Basic not found&#39;.

This will put you back on track&#33; B)

havnt got past level two, but im not really worried. java/flash/html arnt really my thing. as far as level 5 goes, it sounds like you need to forge your header. really easy to do using lynx (for all you linux junkies) and there are ways to do it using telnet. as far as tests go, i really like the geek challenges on http://ca-osi.com/ because there more based in programming (well, after level 2 or 3)

another issue i had with try2hack: right click on level 2 still worked for me. im using debian 3 linux 2.4.20 mozilla 1.00

I don&#39;t see anything on level 4, i know its supposed to run some kind of applet class thing, but i think my firewall or settings elsewhere have cancelled it. (Or is this part of it?) I tried disabling my firewall but that didn&#39;t help.
Any ideas anyone or should i just skip this level with the passwords people have provided.

i was fooling myself .... it was only a problem with the vbrun300.dll. therefore the decomp doesn&#39;t work.

now it works and i get user and password for level 6.

hey guys wuz up.
made it to level 7 in 6 hours, now im stuck for a few days.
apparently they want you to connect to the server and spoof your browser version and want you to make your referer from microsoft.
there are two ways that im aware of to do this.
a. use a telnet client or putty.
b. try using sumthing like proximitron
however, im a bit confused.
id like to do it the intended way and use a telnet/putty
when i connect to the server, port 80, nothing happens. i suppose ths is intentional.
im aware that i have to put in a page request, but im a bit confused as to how i should format my text string.
any help would be greatly appreciated...
for anyone b4 this level, if you paid attention to the faq&#39;s, searching google for basic keywords will yield astounding results.
please pm me if you can help me with my prob.

im not too familiar with html requests and such, and all the packet sniffers i tried werent giving me the data i needed to figure out how a request is sent.

Has anyone tried to hack the bonus challenge already?
I got stuck on level 7 so I tried the bonus.
They give you a little program and they tell you to find all 4 passwords.
I think I found the first one, but it doesn&#39;t do anything when I enter it.

Any hints? :huh:

Should I be worried... I didn&#39;t bother with decompilers. I just loaded up Notepad and let &#39;er rip. Very useful little tool if you don&#39;t mind sifting through miles of useless information.
You can find quite a bit of good stuff. The only time I had to use a decompiler was with the VB code, but VB3 decompilers are easy to make.
