:smilie4: I want to get a digital camcorder and I wanted to know if THIS (http://focuscamera.com/cameras/jvc-camcorders.html) on would hook right up to my computer so I could put my video on to it and if it is a pretty good digital video camcorder for its price? Thanks

found it for 279
http://resellerratings.dealtime.com/xPC-JVC_GR_D30~S-2~PG-1

as for brand, jvc is nice, I have panasonic
you will need a firewire card and your in buisness as far as hooking it up to your pc, my complaint is no light or even a hotshoe for adding a light later
I'm just pickey

.Link Digital Input/Output (IEEE 1394 compliant) DV in/out.

in case you dont know what that mean, it can hook up to your firewire port

no it isn't at first glance the one @ walmart is better as it has a light, probably more but I wouldn't recommend anyone buy from a shop@home type place

Mr. Elmo

y not? i bough a digital camera from there a few months ago and its fine...actually its really good....i rather buy form a shop@home channel then from someone i only know from the internet

I'll probably end up putting it on ebay
but I buy and sell stuff all the time on ebay, its safe if your not stupid, you go by feedback etc
but whatever floats your boat as what you think is quality, they are not going to have the top of the line in electronics and its sad when walmart beats them in quality
if you want good online stores look @ resellerrateings and mysimion
eleventy billion times better than any @home but what do I know I only managed several electronics stores over the years

I think you need to choose your own cam... it depends what your going to use it for. but i do know that the jvc mini dv i have is good for dark situations..... Just look at the options and decide which is best for you!

Ok Thanks. The reason I was going with the digital video camcorders I asked on here about is because I have $450 to spend and half of that is in Walmart gift cards and the ones I minched hear are the only good ones that walmart has for my price range. Thanks

dude thats a must have for the camcorder
you have to buy the card seperatly at around 40.00 and a firewire cabel (if the camera doesn't come with one)

I have a question. In the specifications HERE (http://www.canondv.com/zr60/f_av_in_out.html) it says something about s-video. Can I transfer my video from the camcorder to my computer threw the s-video (My videocard has a s-video slot) untill I get a firewire card?
