Another good one for movies, television shows and games is BitTorrent (http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/). It's very different from the others, for information on how to use it, check here (http://www.cen.uiuc.edu/~halm/torrent.html) for a decent description. Download links can be found here (http://smiler.no-ip.org/BT/BTlinks.php), here (http://www.cen.uiuc.edu/~halm/torrent2.html) and here (http://www.torrentzone.tk/).

Use as many different things as possible, just make sure you share all of your files on all of the systems. That way files are spread between the different systems as quickly as possible. The more the merrier.
I use K++, DC, eMule and Soulseek. All of my shared files are shared on all of them.
