to stop the klextlock.dat file from showing up on your desktop when launching and shutting down the program from a desktop shortcut:

right click on the desktop shortcut,
select "properties"

Thanks I had thought this was due to the Sig2dat I had to install.

Hey guys when can we expect a KLR based on the KMD 2.6, the current KLR wont connect through proxy and is slower so actually there is no version thats really as good as K++.

The kmd 2.6 is being thought out we keep ressurection the way it is because most of us do not like the KMD 2.6 look. As for the slow downloads, it isnt klr klr is basically k++ updated frequently. But be on the look out the ressurection build may turn into the kmd 2.6 core but still function like 2.4.3. The speed of the downloads is whoever you are downloading from. Doesnt matter what kind of lite you have.

just a little heads up here, i think Lite is already working putting KLE in K-Lite 2.6

so there wouldn&#39;t really be a point in updating KLR to 2.6 because you&#39;d basicly doing the same thing he is and confusing people even more...

i don&#39;t think people hate the look of 2.6 it&#39;s just they aren&#39;t used to it yet...hard to kick an old habit

lol, that&#39;s a big FALSE, klr is based on 2.0.2 which doesn&#39;t connect to the new supernodes, those only effect searches if ya didn&#39;t know, so really 2.6 has more search results becuase it can use the new supernodes

Ricky is right I prefer the K++ look rather than the 2.6 look, I dont want useless ad filled websites popping up in kaaa and I prefer the old KLE rather than the current toolbar but shifting to the 2.6 core does open up new supernode options (if there are any) and without a doubt enables usage through a SOCKS proxy, which is a must for me so I cant use a KLR build until that issue is fixed :(

I am not sure pirpu but i believe darth is working on the socks proxy issue, I maybe wrong. Because others want the socks 4 and 5 proxy to work, I would like it since it covers our tracks, As far as i know i think thier has been talk about the socks proxy as far as the beginings of K++ but no acted on it. I believe this time we will be fixing this bug issue because i can not get proxies to work either in k++ or ressurection.

k-lite is the best&#33; fast download.
now my dl speed is about 100 to 500 kb/sek this kicks ass.

on the old virsion of k-lite my dl speed was about 10 to 100 kb/sek and allmost never over 50 kb/sek

i got 2500/124 ADSL but still i cant belive my fast dl speed..

1 It is people like you, that give up so easily because sharman shut kazaa lite down. You do as they want you to. When a dog is hit it obeys, exactly what you are doing. Fastrack is going through its ordeal but because of people like you, You can make it suck. We still believe in the fastrack Network, i want the idea of Edonkey merging with fastrack.

And KMD 2.6.0 lite does not suck. Technically it works the same as ressurection. It is personal preference nothing more. Us ressurection supports don&#39;t like the new look. So we stick to the K++ look.

Just looking over this MP3Shield, is there anyway we can get it to load at the same time as when kazaa loads, this doesn&#39;t seem to much to ask for&#33;, but would be even cooler if you could also get it to close when kazaa close. Maybe even make an option for this in kazaa "Open MP3Shield when kazaa opens" and/don&#39;t &#39;Close MP3Shield when kazaa closes"

It downloads the tools during the setup so that people with dialup only have to download the tools they selected. This way I can add lots of tools without people complaining about size.

I like the idea of the tools beig found by the web, it is a refreshing idea. I think ressurecton is just going to build, and create new additions to the old way of k lite ressurection.

The Socks 5 proxy works now. Since hehe i am connected to a chinese pc in china somewhere. I think the next step we need to take is that dual/triple/quadrople network idea i gave.

In the end result, besides the dual network idea. We need a new way to keep ourselves hidden from the RIAA, and MPAA.

I want people to suggest ideas of what network, and security/privacy options. To add,

I am going to suggest a bunch to Darth since i am into computer security.

I suggest the Edonkey network to have ressurection, also connect too. Anyone have thier ideal network.

How did Darth first get the source code for Kazaa Lite K++ Is there somewhere we can download it. cause i have extent knowledge of programming and would love to make a kazaa lite program. please help.

It has a design too "black" to the design of the program

the content is very big which is good, but it is not very good organized:
for example: slyck.com not host verifieds, but findhash do. etc. the order of the links are not good (sometimes the less important is the uppest... for example: the list of mirrors are important, but you use it in every month, but you use the verified downloads in almost every day...)

Fourvalve dont support .exe files anymore (it has been that way for awhile now). So have to zip them or something. And yeah, Forvalve deleted all my files once. Thats why I keep a copy of my site on my harddrive. However, http://www.web1000.com is a great site. You can upload big files but I dont know the limitations of the type of files... you can check it out if you want...

Kazaa Resurrection doesnt support mulitap searching because its based on an older version of KMD (v2.02). You need K-Lite 2.6 or something based on KMD v2.6 for mulitaping searching.

the installer is not the problem, it was installed properly, the installer being a problem was a suggestion. the original person if you reed, you will see has a problem with getting sig2dat links to work with klr. and that has to do with his enviorment and not klr. klr has not problem with installing k-sig and accepting proper, live hash. ;)

Either way resurection is improving from where it just came out. I have tried the KMD 2.6 lite and has bunch of runtime errors. Therefore we have a more stable source code build. Course ours is modified after the old K++ editions. But i know also that we are changing and addding source code in. This makes us better in the long run, because it gives us different and better auvenues of trying things in the future.

Darth is aware of the problem. i suggest you choose another client for now. When 0.0.7 is released that problem will not excist anymore due to the tools being included in the installer.

boss it has nothing to do with how fast you can download, check your options, check your isp. but what you see in the search window is all an estimate and not realy what is available, your bandwidth you see in search as i said is only a reflection of what you had last time. if you are having speed problem remember this:

your download speed depends on the # of sources for it and their upload speed, anddon&#39;t be fooled by whatyou see in the search window they are not an indication of who is available for connection so change supernodes to see if you get lucky, also use localized supernodes, also try changing ports, and lower your upload bandwidth,remove the no ip sources from your dat files and see if it helps

its most likely your sources or your isp caping you

well ive beenn faffing about with KLR got it setup to how i like it and im impressed a superb build (well done darth) i havent been bumped off once which seemed to happen alot on the last one (even with broadband) and the &#39;new&#39; AVIpreview is alot better. though i havent had a go with virtualdub yet but ive got some orders for some DVD&#39;s from the boys at work hehe. so ill have a play soon&#33;&#33;

something needs to be fixed in KLR i keep getting that damn &#39;there is a error in the script on this page&#39; with the yellow triangle and a explanation mark in the middle its been going on for a long while but now its just really pissing me off . it doesnt seem to happen in klite 2.6 :P so surely it isnt a problem with anything on my computer lol :blink:
