Please remember that using either of these will mean decoding and re-emcoding the files, resulting in lower quality. You will need to decode the files to make critical joins - if you're joining several parts of a DMC megamix, for example - but I only use SoundForge and do this if I'm going to burn them to an audio CD.

If the joins are not too critical you can use mp3DirectCut [HERE (http://www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/~pesch/)] to do it without decoding/re-encoding.
