The only time i ever turn my PC off is when I'm upgrading it. It has been known to run without rebooting for a month or so.
Aw...............hello!!!!!!!!!!
I only re-boot for XP Pro updates...............I've been 24/7 for 3 months,21 days,18.5 hrs.
KMD 2.4.4 24/7

I think I will work on eletronics while its pluged in
yeps....only time it goes off is either installing a new device (hardware....which i never do lol) or flashing bios (which had to do 2 days ago....)
well the second doesnt constitute as turning off though :D
I have seen a pc that was left on for so long, and the motherboard got extremley hot, because the fan had stopped without the user realising it....so he wanted to install a new fan, which of course ment a shutdown, PC shutdown, mobo cracked in the middle from the heat change :|
Twas my brother, we laughed about it afterwards but bloody hell

I have two pc's - a COMPAQ 733 Celeron, which i leave on for about 10 hours a day, never tried 24 hours because i'm concerned the power adaptor on my cable modem will explode  , because it gets quite hot. The Pc on the other hand doesnt even get warm and hardly makes any noise.
I would never leave my Athlon XP system on all day, partly because of the noise of the fan  , and partly because i have important business stuff on it, so need it to be reliable and so don't over-use it.

Why would anybody want to do this? It doesn't make much sense to me to use my CPu to run this.

Whats wrong with useing the hibernate feature [ xp pro]
lol hibernate actually turns off your computer.... it just saves the computer settings, apps, or whatever you're running so that when u turn ur computer back on.... they are still there...

Dwk sorry but is nt that the whole idea?
NO.... he is asking who leaves it on 24/7
i think i get what you're trying to say....however most of us leave the computer on 24/7 for downloads....and hibernate is OFF...so that wouldnt make much sense
