Hello, I have a decent Rockweel 56k modem that I would like to give to one of my friends. However I have no driver or manual or anything for it anymore. I know it would be very simple to download the driver for it, if only I knew specifically what it was called!
This is all the info on it:
Rockwell
S/N=9401900815 WS-5614PM3
CIS technology inc.
2395 8863 A (model number maybe?)
Modem produced in Taiwan
Series WS-5614PM3 High Speed Fax Modem
# 54.09242.021
CIS PCI Modem

That is all I can see. Any idea on what this modem is?
I'm quite sure once I know what it is specifically I can get the driver from here (http://www.modem-drivers.com/companies/902.htm)

Thanks
Kai

Are chipset numbers your link looks ok unless you can find anything relating to the chipsets.

Well my friend like last time its getting late here and I will be away shortly just leaving people to fight on KaZaa for the downloads hope you get it to work, modems are the worst thing when it comes to drivers there are so many it does help if you know if its a hard/soft one before you start looking.

Here (http://www.modem-help.co.uk/mfc/cis.html#WS-5614PM3A) is a link to what I think may be the driver you are looking for.

I believe the modem you have is actually a WS-5614PM3A .The "A" coming from the line "2395 8863 A (model number maybe?)"
The link I provided pretty much covers all of the WS-5614PM3 modems. It couldn't hurt to try this driver.

PS ,if your friend has XP I don't think he will have to even use the drivers.I have a Conexant modem also.It took me days to find the proper driver for it for Win 98 and Win XP picked her up no prob.
Good luck.

By the way, have you checked Greenlyph's website lately? He has a big boxing day sale going on.

Hmm the modem should be exactly as i typed it at first, as i typed it directly off the label on it! but you could also be right, as you know more then i do about this.
yeah i've checked out the site a bit, some good stuff on there these days

So which of the 2 drivers am i looking at??

Because of broadband it wouldn't bother me take the lot ones got to work if you hover the mouse over the downloads you will see most of them are the same anyway but the 13th download down as the same number start with that one.

Funny thing Kaiweiler,I just opened up my tower to do some cleaning and decided to take the modem I have in it out to see what it was and it turns out it is the exact same on ethat you are looking for the drivers for.I have the drivers on a couple of floppies here somewhere. If you haven't found the exact ones you need yet just let me know and I'll send them to you somehow.

P.S. If you are using XP there is no need to look for drivers as it will install the proper one on after you install the modem.
