i'd reccomend it (especially for software) ICH is the sh*t :)

yes, emule is very good for getting rare piece of software and/or games

it can be slow though, so be patient :)

all the p2p apps have their strengths & weaknesses.

bittorrent is nice, but once a file has kind of made its' way through everyone, availability is crap. you can't find anything really rare/old with it.

for software & games, emule is definitly champ, IMO.
practically 0 corruption, extended availability, & easy to find hash links.

you'll find mp3's on emule, but it's a stupid and inefficient waste of time to d/l them if you ask me.

Soulseek is okey for music, but it's single source, on unreliable servers, and you have to get one song at a time...
I do like it for rare & obscure music though. Those people have damn near everything.

I like eMule cuz you can get full albums in .rar/.zip files.

so emule or emule plus?

it's really just a matter of personal preference...
try both. there's (usually) no problem with having more than 1 client installed, just make sure it doesn't install to the same directory:P

and I wouldn't try running them at the same time ;)

ohh...I don't think I've ever used emulePlus...but generally, the emule mods have extra tweak features and stuff that you can toy with, or they
have skins, etc.
some of them are quite handy. I use the Sivka mod, cuz it has some really nice features for releasing.
for full info on the version's features, you can go to the emule site (http://www.emule-project.net), then go to the forum there, and there's a section with all the mods.
the creators usually have a list of features in their latest version.

overnet (http://www.overnet.com) lol hear is what you do:

when you install don't install none of the third party stuff, just the stuff for overnet.

now when you install it it has a banner uptop, once you install first thing you do is search for "overnet" lol then you will see a shit load of stuff for overnet, now look for the version 52 serial, keygen, crack or loader, i'm using the loader if you want when you get it let me know and i will send you my loader.

thats it once you have the loader, there is no banner no adaware or spyware,

just make sure you only install the overnet stuff and not the third party bs, you can always run adaware just to have peace of mind lol good luck and let me know if you need the loader

12-28-2003, 05:35 AM
Mate it needs to load the the original overnet exe,so make sure the new loader & the original exe are in the same directory(overnet). Then use the cracked loader or make a shortcut of that. :)

instead of using loaders and other things just add this to the host file

27.0.0.1 reg.edonkey2000.com
127.0.0.1 reg.overnet.com

sorry, i know this is an emule thread, but had to say this:
shit like that is exactly why klite is going down!
used to be able to log on and see at least 4.5 million users
lately its dropped to 2.5, wtf?
pros and cons like ANY p2p app, so why dump it?
yeah, i got emule, but i aint dumpin klite, NFW.
the speed kicks emule's ass, just watch what you're d/lding,
and keep an AV running, which you should be w/ or w/o klite.
have you read the news? the RIAA cant make your ISP turn you in.
so, IMO, the risk of using klite just dropped dramatically

sorry to overreact, but this klite dumping/bashing makes me sick

the purple and black (blue and black in emules case) just shows availbaility.
The lighter a colour (purple) the more sources than ones in black.

I think uj just wanted you to see that your in a queue and you just need to wait till it gets to QR1 then onto downloading. Patience.

I have a dsl line that connects at 150KB/s download and 15KB/s upload. What should I set for max connections in overnet.

BTW, thanks for the tip muscle, im running the pro version as i type this.

Another tip, if you already have emule and are running downloads, just set the temp and incoming folders in overnet to the ones that emule uses, and it will pick up the downloads at higher speeds.

not always.

Its usually a good idea to get the most available one, but if the others results are more to your liking (ie. different language, higher bitrate etc), you dont have to use these purples ones if they dont have what your looking for.

on a few occassions sometimes the highest available sources dont have the full complete parts, so you have no choice but to ask for a reshare or look for a different version.
