the 9600xt is horrible for that price. the hd is ok. the processor needs to be at least 3.2

bigdawgfoxx
12-27-2003, 04:16 PM
Thats one hell of a system. The graphics card could be a 9700 or 9800 series, but the 9600XT is very good also. I think 2.8Ghz would be fine, but that system is pretty high. You could build one yourself for much cheaper I'm sure.

Will it do what you want it to do?

Yeah, because that would make such a big difference over a 2.8GHz processor. It would certainly justify the massive increase in price.

lol yeah I agree. 2.8Ghz should be fine. 3 if you want more, but the 3.2 is so exspensive, because its the top product in the line of chips

ok. maybe the 3.2 is a bit rash. but the 9600xt is not good

true and most don't build a pc till they get ripped a few times on prebuilt ones, then they kick themselfs for not doing it sooner

I can certainly understand not building your own...look at all the trouble bigdawg is going through.
If you have the bucks and just want a nice rig there are lots of options out there- Falcon, Area 51, etc.
Plus you get warrantees.

Really?
Then why is there a 19 page thread devoted to your machine.
It takes longer to read that than to build the PC....

yeah well most of them are just simple questions..other people talking...its not all questions.

The only problem I had was when VB freaked the shit out of me and said I had ruined my system. Thats about the only Problem. And some mounting stuff. Its reallllly easy to build. I havnt had any problems really

Clocker check out my 19 page thread lol I got a question for u on there

DWk
12-27-2003, 07:14 PM
lol those simple questions are something that ARE problems..... they are BIG problems cuz you should know how to fix the problems if you have "already" built a computer urself

I havnt read this whole thing, but you need a 9800XT or 9800Pro. Stick with ATI, MUCH better at high resolutions with filtering, which is what makes a game, a game ;)

12-28-2003, 03:50 AM
cmon now bigdawg.... have u even tried an ati? cuz you still dont have ur new card AND you had an mx440....

bigdawgfoxx
12-28-2003, 04:25 AM
Dude..I go play lan games all the time on ATIs..I know that they look better lol. You can also just look at benchmarks and see.

DWk
12-28-2003, 04:28 AM
lol thats why i asked.... u never said what u just said...

however "how it looks like" doesnt just make some card worth more than other... u already know that...

NOT TO MENTION you play bf1942.....a game that isnt that much graphic-demanding.... runs the same on any brand (including intel or whatever integrated shit)
