Most of my downloads (including torrent files) are stuck on Pending, even though there are sources available. In the Settings box I have set the number of Maximum Transfers to 128 (which is the highest possible), but most of them are still stuck.
Anybody know why?

Perhaps you have allowed too many upload connections.?
That can eat up your download bandwidth...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already checked that, and the uploads are not taking up too much bandwidth.
Any other suggestions?

uhmmm...

Okay.. basic stuff, but lets see...

Is Shareaza fully connected to the network(s)?
Firewall and/or port forwarding set up correctly? - including the Xp firewall?
Downloaded the latest server.met for eD2k?
Queried some GWebcache services in the Discovery services window? (F9 key)

and...

How long have the downloads been 'stuck' in pending status?

Can you run a search successfully?
Maybe try a smaller number for Maximum Connections?

right click your pending downloads and click pause then resume again see if that helps also you could right click the download which is pending and find more sources

If your file is 2 popular and too many ppl are requisting it, the server cannot let all these ppl download it simulatanously (insane), so it makes several clients wait till...

I think the reason for this is that the closer you get to the end the less sources have the packets that you require to complete. So at the start you and others are downloading any old packets, but the more you download of a file the harder it is to find the packets you need.

Pending usually means that all the sources queues are filled up. and in bt usually only 4 people can upload off of one person at a time so maybe everyones upload slots are filled up too in BT. if you were in a queue it would say active.
