can you guys give an opinion on how both these games will run on my system?


i have


1.6 ghz

512 RAM

ATI Radeon 9600 XT (128 Video Memory)


will they run at smooth rates or jerky rates?

or if possible how many frames could i get and the resolution

yea itll prolly run at full specs.... i dont think the games will be that demanding as people put it....specially doom3 (since its an opengl game)

Try Gunmetal and set it at 8x AA and 8x Ani and you will make your video card work....

Everything looks nice but I would get a better processor. 2GHz or above.

sorry to jump on the bandwagon but me. im slightly worried seeing as i like my games 1024* with everything set full.

amd atlon xp200 at 1.66mhz
512mb&#39;s ddr
geforce 4 mmx440 128mb ram (i cant remenber ita real name but its something like that)

It will probably run it easily, just dont expect to get high settings out of it. Oh, and to everyone above - theres no doubt in my mind that you could get 1024x768 resolution with high detail settings at around 30-50fps (if i remember the benchmarks correctly....)

lol if its an opengl it shud run with ease with my fx5600 256DDR p4 1.90 ghz :D
