hi i'm new to xp but every time i go on the net and click home page

it comes up with a different home page that i have set i change it back to

use blank and it's allright for as long as i stay on the net

but the next time i switch the internet on it's changed again how can i put it right

Sounds like you got a hijacker, get SpyBot S&D (http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10194058.html?tag=lst-0-1), then update it from in the program, then run a scan.
