Take off the side of your case, and see if that helps.

Drops my temps 3-5C

I don't think you will have to worry too much, that is kinda high, not really high enough to do any damage. But as in the never ending quest goes, THE TEMPS MUST BE LOWER.
So work on your air flow in your case a bit more, put fans in different places, make sure wires are a clean as possible. and since heat rises, I always recommend having at least one fan blowing out on top of the case. (If you don't already have one like that) Just work on it, you can bring them down. and if nothing else take Lennon's advise,

Peace and Love???, well, you might wanna take that too, but remove the side panels, always reduces the heat somewhat.

fucking hell 45?

i havent seen anythign that cool out of my machine for about...well never.

when i got a guy in a shop (yes im a n00b at this sh!t) to upgrade my 1.3 duron to a 200xp atlon at 1.66 he forgot to upgrade the fan. and he put this software on my pc that told me the temp.

well the temp for the cpu was always reading about 75-80 and once it hit 80 it shutdown so i called him and all he did was just rais the temp that it shuts down at. so i have like no working fans. and i leave my pc on 24/7 thus why im afriad to O/c cause i think it will cause a fire.

Anybody care to offer some insite.

Ps: the guy sed it was prob the software fucking about and everything was perfect

umm since you know your fan is dead....WHY NOT REPLACE THEM

lol that wod b an option but i aint paying that guy to 'fix' it again and i dont know a thing about the inside of a pc. i though a 'mobo' was some kinda new wierd version of a hobo.

just cant aford to live on the streets. anyway replacing is the last option on my list i wod like to avoid seing as i dont rly know how to even open my pc.

thnx ofr the reply thoo ;)

thats the only thing u can do....w/ no working fan, there is no way to cool your system unless you open your case and have a fan blowing at it....a fan is nto hard to installed....just screw it into the case

@abu: You overclocked it right? Clock it down a bit.

Abu, if removing your sidepanel lowers your temps then it is a sure sign that your case airflow sucks.

one, two, three...

"Well...tell me how to fix it! What do you guys think?"

BEEP! Wrong question!

There is a ton of info on this forum regarding case cooling.
*Ahem*May I refer you to the huge and exhaustive threads that I've posted the past few months...there are several concepts that could easily be adapted to any case.

You are against the wall now, mofo.
Only you can assess/diagnose/repair this problem.

IMO, 45c is at least 15 deg. too high.

Fix it.

I agree with clocker.

abu. You have been around the HardwareWorld long enough to know about cooling. Why don't you find the solution and tell us what you do.

I say this because a while back you were bragging about your temps as if it was a competition.

Whether you board is good or bad is irrelevant.
This isn't a motherboard problem.
It is a case cooling problem.

Have you started working yet?

Indeed.
What is the point?
Is your board "burning up" EEEK!, or not?
